Release your creativity

Learn the fundamental skills of Kiln Formed glass techniques guided by Contemporary Glass Artist Naomi Jacques. Follow the simple step by step online tutorial and enjoy exploring the art of glass in the comfort of your own home.

With our creative kits you get unlimited access to our online step-by-step tutorial to help guide you through the making process. Once complete the Fused Glass creations are then returned to us to be fired in the Kiln. This process is referred to as kiln forming or warm glass. A bit like ceramics, the glass is heated up so that it bonds together. It is truly a magical process. Once completed, we’ll return them to you.

With creativity in mind and the wish to share knowledge and skills, we are pleased to bring you Omi Studio.

At Omi Studio you will find creative workshops, make your own at home kits, and gifts. We hope the workshops will grow, but for now we are focused on fused glass processes. Do keep an eye on our newsletters as we hope to bring more artists/makers experience and knowledge to the table very soon.

We pride ourselves on sharing learning and creative skills. We do this for many reasons, one of the main reasons is health and wellbeing. Arts and craft processes can be very enjoyable, relaxing, sometimes challenging but always absorbing. Creating can take you away from day to day stresses and strains, giving you a much-needed break.

There is no pressure here, we want you to have fun, relax, escape the day to day, learn and grow.

Fused Glass is a very versatile process. A lot of maths and science is hidden in the making process - ideal for young minds who learn best through kinaesthetic and visual learning styles.

“We had a brilliant time during lockdown in our own homes connected by the internet whilst creating our own fused glass hanging decorations. Naomi created kits for us to safely deliver to our clients and everyone fully enjoyed the experience and our glass creations were brilliant. Thank you Naomi”

“I brought two Robin kits for my children to do over the Christmas break. We watched the tutorial together. Very helpful! They loved making them, and now we have two new decorations to adorn our tree each year! Naomi kept us updated with the stages they were at (we brought from her directly) and they were returned to us really swiftly. Very pleased with the service and the results.”

Steve

“Having always struggled to buy for my mother, this creative kit was a life saver! Mum thoroughly enjoyed creating her Robin and it now lives in her kitchen and reminds her of my late father.”

Andy

“It looks absolutely gorgeous. Turned out exactly as we hoped, and my wife loved it.”

Feed your soul with goodness

Creating and making are such powerful activities to do. Taking time to be creative helps us to switch off from day to day mundane tasks and allows us to take a step out of our comfort zones. Letting our selves be absorbed in creativity not only gives us a great sense of achievement when we see the beautiful things we’ve made, but it also gives us wellbeing and appreciation.

How the kits work

• Order the kit you wish to make; we will then post this out to you. If you buy directly from us, we will email you the links to the health and safety information, online tutorial and password. If you purchase from a retailer these will be included in the kit.

• Unpack your kit and keep hold of the packaging, watch the tutorial and create your work.

• Once completed, follow the instructions in the tutorial /guide and pack the kit back up as you received it.

• Using the prepaid self-addressed A4 envelope, place the box within the envelope and post back to us via a normal Royal Mail postbox - no need to go to the post office.

• Now all you need to do is wait for your work to be fired and returned. We aim to do this as quickly as possible. As soon as the kiln is full, she gets turned on!

We really enjoy learning about your experience with our kits so please get in touch via email, social media tags, etc.
