Health and Safety
Glass can be sharp – please handle the contents of this kit with care and attention.
The base sheet, depending on the shape you have choose will have been water jet cut or hand cut by Naomi. The edges are sharp, please handle carefully. The bass glass has been washed prior to sending out to you. For this reason and to reduce your risk of cuts please handle using a pincer grip on the edges of the glass. Be firm with your grip so the glass does not slip.
Do not eat or drink the glass pieces. If you require a drink near your working area, choose a lidded vessel to drink from.
Naomi uses a pencil and spoon in her demonstration, these are not included in the kit, please have these to hand.
The glue is PVA and safe to use. There is ample glue in the kit, if it should dry out or run out please use your own PVA or Prick Stick glue to fix your work down for transport.
Frits, stringers, confetti – all the glass colours that might be included in your kit – each of these colours are made from glass – these can be sharp – please handle with care. Any spillages need to be swept up with a brush and discarded in your general waste bin carefully.
Children and the Fused Glass Kits.
I do have specific child friendly kits – Children must be supervised whilst using the kit. Do not leave the kit unattended with a child or pets. You know your child’s capability best – if you feel your child can do the craft once you have understood it all then that is entirely up to you to decide. I have worked with children as young as 6 – they must be able to follow instructions and understand the risks involved and have a good level of maturity when being creative.
Omi Studio does not accept liability for loss or damage of the kits nor any injury caused in the using of the kits.
